Volunteer!

Most volunteers come to CARES for short term projects, such as painting the kitchen, trimming the shrubs, running a canned food drive, etc. We also have ongoing needs, so if you have time, we could use your help!

We especially can use you, and your spare truck or large vehicle, to help when our families are moving. Families often enter the shelter with their belongings stuffed into a couple trash bags. After going to the service center for clothes and household items, they need assistance moving their belongings into their new home.

We also sometimes have emergency needs, from toilet paper to winter coats. Our babies often need formula and diapers, and our women are always grateful for work shoes and work clothes.
