At the CARES Community Service Center, we are committed to supporting individuals and families facing hardship by offering access to essential resources such as food, clothing, hygiene items, and basic household goods. To ensure safety, efficiency, and dignity for everyone, please review the following guidelines before your visit.

To receive assistance, please be prepared to provide:
- Valid Photo ID
A government-issued identification (e.g., driver’s license or state ID).
- Proof of Residency
A current utility bill, lease, or official mail showing your name and address within our service area.

Appointments & Walk-ins
- Tuesdays are by Appointment Only
Appointments may be made directly or through referring agencies. Counselors and caseworkers are encouraged to schedule client visits for Tuesdays.
- Wednesdays & Thursdays – Walk-Ins Welcome
We welcome community members during open hours, but please be aware that service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Shopping Guidelines
- Please Allow Adequate Time
Make sure to allot enough time for your visit, including potential waiting periods during peak times.
- Time Limit Per Visit
A shopping time limit may be enforced to ensure all clients have an opportunity to receive assistance.
- Limited Capacity for Safety
To maintain a safe and orderly environment, we limit the number of people in the facility at one time. You may be asked to wait briefly outside.
- Health & Safety
Masks are not currently required but are encouraged. Hand sanitizer is available upon entry.
For the continued safety of all, masks or face coverings are no longer required to enter the Service Center to shop in the Clothing Closet or receive food from the Food Pantry. However, we encourage anyone who feels more comfortable wearing one to do so.
